Cybix is an independent AI consultancy, founded in Hong Kong in 2015 and headquartered in the UK since 2025. We are 110 people: a 72-strong data science team alongside consultants, economists and engineers, working for banks, government departments and manufacturers. We hire people who would rather ship working systems than roadmaps.

Data Scientist

You will join a 72-strong data science team building AI systems that run inside serious organisations: document intelligence for banks, agentic systems for production groups, forecasting for manufacturers. Our systems are measured against operational outcomes agreed with the client, not demos, so your work ships, gets audited, and stays in production after we leave.
What you'll do
- Design, build and evaluate machine learning and LLM-based systems on real client data, to production standard.
- Work in small senior teams directly with client subject-matter experts; weeks one and two are spent in their operation, not in slides.
- Make your work explainable: every model decision traceable, every claim defensible in front of a client's risk team.
What we look for
- A strong record of shipped data science or ML work; we care about what ran in production, not just what was published.
- Fluency in Python and the modern ML/LLM stack, and the judgement to know when not to use it.
- The ability to explain a model to a chief risk officer without losing either rigour or the room.

Head of Europe, Consulting

Cybix moved its headquarters to the UK in 2025 to lead international expansion. This role owns the next step: building our European consulting business from a strong UK base. You will open and grow client relationships at board level, build the team behind them, and hold the standard that makes Cybix worth hiring: honest advice, working systems, and due diligence that is easy to pass.
What you'll do
- Own the European growth plan: markets, sectors, partnerships and the senior hires to serve them.
- Lead flagship engagements personally; your name goes on the advice.
- Represent Cybix publicly in Europe: clients, regulators, press and the stage.

- A senior consulting career with evidence of building a practice, a region or a business line, not just running one.
- Genuine fluency in what AI can and cannot do for an enterprise; you can challenge our engineers and be challenged by them.

Head of AI Governance & Assurance

Our clients buy scrutiny: independent due diligence, vendor-neutral advice, and systems that hold up under audit. This role owns that promise. You will build and lead the governance and assurance practice, set the standards our delivery teams build to, and be the person a client's board, risk function or regulator meets when they ask how we know the system is safe.
What you'll do
- Build the assurance practice: methods, evidence standards and the team to run AI governance engagements and technical due diligence.
- Set and enforce the internal bar every Cybix build must clear: traceability, security, data protection, model risk.
- Track the regulatory landscape (UK, EU AI Act, sector rules) and turn it into practical counsel clients can act on.
What we look for
- Deep experience in technology risk, model risk, audit or AI governance, ideally in or serving regulated industries.
- The rare combination: technical enough to read the system, senior enough to sign the opinion.
- A bias for enabling good work, not blocking it; governance at Cybix is how things ship, not why they don't.

Principal Consultant, Financial Services
London, hybrid · Full time
Cybix works with banks and financial institutions on where intelligence belongs in their business. This role leads those engagements: shaping the case, running the room, and carrying the work from a board conversation through to systems in production with our data science team. You will own the financial services portfolio and grow it.
What you'll do
- Lead AI strategy, due diligence and delivery oversight for banking and financial services clients.
- Translate between three rooms that rarely understand each other: the board, the risk function and the engineers.
- Build reusable sector insight: what actually works in compliance, operations and client-facing AI in regulated finance.
What we look for
- A consulting or industry record in financial services with technology or transformation at its core.
- Comfort with the realities of regulated delivery: model risk management, outsourcing rules, operational resilience.
- Clients who would take your call tomorrow.
